Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people, and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages.
In our latest inspection in January 2017 where we were rated GOOD in all areas, the inspector commented that:
Partnerships with parents are excellent.
Staff develop children’s language skills effectively
Children actively engage in a wide range of well-planned learning opportunities. Staff allow them to follow their interests, motivating them to explore and learn as they play
The staff’s warm and caring interaction supports children’s emotional well-being effectively and they form secure attachments.
Safeguarding is effective. Staff have a secure knowledge of child protection
Children benefit from the inviting and challenging outdoor play opportunities. They gain an understanding about taking risks as staff encourage them to explore their environment
The provider and staff’s ongoing assessment of children’s successes enables staff to plan activities that support children well
Children’s behaviour is good, as staff ensure they are actively involved in appropriately challenging activities
