Friday 26th April 🐯 Tiggers 🐯

We have had a lovely day in Tiggers today, the children explored the peppermint scented gloop this morning filled with knights and dragons. The children explored the texture of the gloop with their hands and watched what happened when food colouring was added. They had great fun pushing and sliding the dragons into the sticky gloop!

This afternoon the Tiggers explored the water tray in the garden filled with bubbly water and rubber ducks, we used the gutters to pour water down to race the ducks. The Tiggers had great fun splashing in all the water!

For snack today we had carrot, cucumber, breadsticks and a choice of dips.

🐯 Tiggers 🐯 Thursday 25th April

We have had a great day in the Tigger room today, the Tiggers made bracelets this morning using different coloured beads, they carefully threaded the beads onto the string making different patterns of colours! This activity was great for working on our fine motor skills!

This afternoon we worked on our scissor control and cut out dragon puppets on the craft table, the Tiggers showed good control with the scissors, cutting straight and curved lines around the dragon puppets! Once we had cut them out, we stuck on lollipop sticks to make them into puppets! Great work Tiggers!

For snack this morning we had pate and melba toast.

🐷 PIGLETS - Thursday 24th April 24'🐷

The Piglets have enjoyed counting with the compare bears this afternoon, there was some lovely mathematical language being used such as 'more' and 'less'. This activity focused on the Piglets colour recognition as well as their counting skills.

They've also enjoyed making patterns on the lightbox with the different shapes which helps the Piglets to identify the different shapes by name. Some children also enjoyed tipping and pouring with the gloop.

Wednesday 24th April 🐯 Tiggers 🐯

We have had a very fun day in the Tigger room today, we walked down to Branksome Rec this morning and the children explored the park and had a walk around the fields! The Tiggers loved climbing up on the climbing frame and going down the different slides! We also did some good balancing on the obstacle course, the Tiggers used their arms to help them balance.

This afternoon we made crowns on the craft table, the children decorated their crowns with different jewels and sequins and used coloured pens and pencils to make marks on the crowns! This helped to support their fine motor skills.

For snack today we had carrot, cucumber, breadsticks and dip.
