We have been busy taking part in lots of Easter themed activities so far this week. 🐥
Monday we had a go at different spring themed activities, we painted tulip pictures using forks in the paint and made a caterpillar with paper plates. 🐛
Tuesday we walked beautifully to Branksome Recreation Ground to partake in Bunny Sports Day. We loved doing egg and spoon races and carrot toss.
Wednesday we started to make our chick dishes, using our fingers to mould the clay. We can't wait for them to dry so we can paint them. 🐥
Today we made some beautiful Easter cards for our loved ones. The children worked very hard drawing around an egg template and sticking different resources on to it. We even had a go at cutting out a label saying Happy Easter. 🌟
We've also had an interest in space, so we built rockets with bricks and had a go at building rockets using 2D shapes. 🚀
It's been a lovely day in Tiggers today, we have loved exploring the threading activities in the garden with the wooden logs to thread string through. The children used great concentration to weave the string in and out of the holes. This activity was great for helping develop our fine motor skills. Well done Tiggers. 🌟
We have been getting into the Easter spirit in our book corner today, we listened to a variety of Easter and spring stories read by practitioner Georgia. We listened so well and looked at all the pictures.
For snack today we had wraps with a choice of butter or egg mayonnaise and cherry tomatoes and grapes. We also had a cup of milk or water with snack.
Wishing all the Tiggers a great Easter break, we look forward to seeing you all in a couple weeks. 🐥🐣
This morning the Piglets enjoyed using the Easter stickers and stampers to make designs on their paper, some of the Piglets found the stampers tricky to start with but once they did it hand over hand a few times with an adult they got the hang of it, they demonstrated fantastic perseverance throughout this activity 🌟.
The Piglets have also enjoyed bug hunting in the garden, building with duplo, practising their balancing skills on the stilts in the garden, exploring the pony parlour messy tray and mark making in the playdough.
We hope all the Piglets have a fantastic Easter break and we look forward to seeing some of you in Tiglets🐰🐥.
Today, we decided to decorate our display board with some spring chick's, eggs and sheep. We helped to look after poorly animals at the vets and worked hard to do the puzzles. After lunch, we did some Springtime yoga in the garden and pretended to be hedgehogs, chick's and growing shoots.
Snack: Ham and pineapple with milk or water to drink.
Today in Piglets we started the morning with using cotton wool to decorate the sheep, the Piglets spread the glue on and then used their fingers to stick the cotton wool on the pictures focusing on strengthing their finger muscles. The Piglets also enjoyed threading pipe cleaners and ribbon into plastic tubes also focusing on strengthing their finger muscles.
In the garden the Piglets used the spanners to connect the mecano together, used the tweezers to put the compare bears in the correct coloured bowls, dragon imagionary play and standing on the 'Jumping Joey' and seeing how high the beanbag could go.
For snack we has cheese twist ( alternative: gluten free amd dairy free cracker) with cucumber and tomatoes with a choice of two different dips and a cup of milk, water or oat milk.
